Catherine Holbrook Music Projects
Orchestral Work & Conducting

Catherine has several years experience of working with classical musicians from coaching chamber ensembles to conducting full symphony orchestras. A regular conductor with The Award-winning Cobweb Orchestra, Catherine runs a weekly open-access group in York (for more information see below), leads orchestral study days and conducts concerts across the North of England.

The Cobweb Orchestra in York
The Cobweb Orchestra is a friendly and welcoming community orchestra which exists so that people can enjoy playing music together. It is open to anyone who wants to come along and join in, whether they have just started learning an instrument, have been playing for years, or haven't played for years.

Cobwebs events have:
  • no auditions
  • no entry requirements
  • no weekly commitments
  • no limits on number of players (except possibly the size of the room/stage)

Please feel free to pop along and play with us on a Thursday evening (full list of session dates below) at New Earswick Methodist Church Hall, YO32 4AQ. Click here for a map.

It's on the junction between Haxby Road and Lime Tree Ave. The hall is attached to the back of the church itself. There is ample parking on Lime Tree Ave and on the area in front of the shopping parade.

In addition to the regular Thursday evening Cobwebs sessions Catherine also runs Orchestral Study Days, Come & Play Days and put on concerts (which you're also welcome to come and play in) in York and at various venues across the North of England. Just contact Catherine for more information.
